Happy Easter!

Here is my “contemporary art” decorated egg entry! Never too old to make a decorated egg! This is the best place I’ve ever come in in the egg show! I once came 3rd for a egg i painted as a clown. I was 12 then though. Obviously the egg as a house theme, I used watercolour, pen and pencil creating a street of houses of all different types. The inspiration for the egg came from the sphere sculptures I saw at the Bluecoat by Polly Gould.  http://www.pollygould.co.uk/Anamorphic_Landscapes.html  It was interesting to see the way the watercolour on the egg flowed around the pencil marks. I really enjoyed making this piece and the house in the glass jar just completed the look I was hoping for.
