 Work Experience
2015- The Gallery at Rheged Visitor Centre-My main role was supervising the summer exhibition ‘MAKE IT with Minecraft’ aimed at children aged 5-11. The exhibition featured, workshop based, craft activities which required interaction with both parents and children. As gallery assistant, responsibilities included de-installing/installing exhibitions as well as having a charismatic front desk manner.
2015- Eden Arts– Working closely with the online presence of the organisation promoting their C-Art Open Studios event, specifically using social media management website hoot suite to schedule tweets and Facebook posts.
2015 – Perc Tucker Regional Gallery– Working initially in admin, returning calls and emails and general running of the high profile gallery. Extending my assistance with educational programs, collections research and exhibition openings.
2013 – Future Artists Nottingham, – As part of a collective group we lead a series of workshops with GCSE pupils. These workshops allowed pupils to free their previous perceptions of art education; giving them an experience based on degree level of learning; aiming to promote art in higher education.
2012/13 – Backlit Studio Volunteer– Working with the team to promote our online presence using Facebook, Twitter and WordPress to publicise events. Assisting with admin; collecting data to help with arts council funding.
2012/13 – Intern Writer at Backlit Studios, Nottingham-  A unique opportunity allowing my creative writing skills to soar. Monthly reviews of local art events were featured on the Backlit’s website. Time keeping and Networking skills flourished in this role.
2012 – Buddy Scheme– Mentor for 1st year students; a very rewarding role as I helped those who felt a little lost settle into the course.
2011 – DART Gallery Volunteer– Working with the local community to promote exhibitions and sell art works.
